About half of our classes are what we would call "recreational" classes - they meet once a week, for a season that runs September - June. Dancers build on their foundation in every class, perfecting what they've already learned and working towards additional skills of increased difficulty. Choreography is taught and practiced as well, with two separate performances for the year - a holiday performance and our annual spring Recital. Watch your dancer shine onstage after a year's worth of work - they will make you so proud!
These classes/teams are for dancers who are committed to more training and performance opportunities. In addition to a holiday performance and our annual spring Recital, competition teams also get to compete against other dance groups in our region via dance competitions. Dancers must audition for a spot on these teams, and participate in more demanding classes as well as team rehearsals held outside of class time. We attend 2-3 competitions per year, all in-state, with an optional out-of-state competition in the summer. If your dancer is ready to kick things up a notch, our competition team classes are just what they're looking for!
For dancers who prefer little to no commitment, wanting to train as their schedule permits, these classes are for you! There are no performances, no costume fees - just come in, dance it out, and we'll see ya next time! These classes are indicated by the word "Open" on our schedule.
**Due to Covid-19 Restrictions, we are not offering Drop In Classes for our 2020-2021 Season, but plan to bring them back next season!**
For our dancers who are just OBSESSED, and possibly interested in a future dance career, this program is for you! If you hit our *maxxed out* threshold of class hours per week, you are clearly invested in dance and we want to invest right back!
